Transportal is an Adults-Only RPG with a focus on feminization, sexual exploration, and themes of identity.

Support the project on Patreon
for access to the Newest Release!

Initially, you take on the role of an adult male college dropout who feels like he doesn't quite fit in. Just when you're busy avoiding your problems, and dealing with the tedium of everyday life, you're presented with an opportunity you can't ignore. A friend of yours has managed to get you beta access to what is supposedly highly-advanced Virtual Reality, but she has one potential caveat: She wants you to play this hyper-realistic game in a girl's body. Although you want to tell her no, it IS only a game, and it is TEMPORARY, right?

Reluctantly deciding to go with the flow, you find yourself in a periodically-changing body, and traveling through Realities that don't seem so Virtual, all while exploring your sexuality far more than you bargained for. Will your identity remain static throughout this journey, or will you find yourself gradually becoming someone you never dared to expect?

The sexual content in this game will generally be played from a submissive perspective, with the Protagonist's circumstances playing a role in how scenes are written.

This game is set up to have a day/night cycle where each time you go to bed, you'll not only alternate between different Realities, but also alternate between two separate bodies. In other Realities, you'll find yourself in the body of a woman you dreamed up, while in the Real World, you'll find yourself back in your original, male body (although even that seems to be slowly changing...) The gameplay involves fighting monsters, spending time with friends, finding secrets, and having lewd interactions with NPC's. Go on a journey to figure out what's really causing all of this, and maybe have some fun along the way!

This game is in on-going development. Thank you so much for your support! ♡

Can somebody help me please

The problem is when the game comes to the NSFW scene I can only see the black window but the conservation still goes (sorry if it's wrong or something my english is not good)

it goes to all of my games I have played

If you’re referring to the tentacle scene, it does not have artwork yet in version 0.2.8.

(The game tells you this right beforehand.) :3

I can't start the game. It just gets stuck on the 18+ warning and no matter what I try it never moves on

Hi, this is the first I’ve heard of this issue.

What operating system are you using?

Also, the 18+ warning does stay up until the player presses the confirm key or button.

(1 edit)

I'm on Windows 11. Could it be because I'm using a touchscreen? Though the on screen keyboard has always worked before in rpgm games

Edit: Managed to get in by accidentally pressing on a random black part at the bottom of the screen. I guess the confirm button was hidden for some reason?

(+1)

Hmmm, I’ll have to keep touchscreens in mind. I haven’t tested the game using a touchscreen. Thank you for the information, and I’m glad you got it working. :)

Whatever I do in the library, I can't enter the inn. What am I missing.

You have to talk to the librarian by interacting with the counter in front of her. :)

Hey! Im assuming this has already been asked but after a quick scroll i couldnt find anything but would a mobile release be possible? If not im going to probably play the game anyway on pc but if it were possible i think a mobile release would be appreciated to quite a few people

Hi! Thanks for your interest!

I've been told that a couple people have gotten the Web version of the game working on Android using Joiplay, although that's the extent of my knowledge on the subject. Someone did also say that the game made their phone run hot, i.e. that it was performance-heavy. The game runs at the 1920x1080 resolution, so that may be why.)

The game is only tested on Windows though, hence the other versions being listed as "untested". :)
Thank you again!

Thank you for your response. ill try get it running on joiplay or whatever way i can figure it out but for the game running hot it is very possible but i guess most of that issue really comes down to how your phone runs. i have a quite old phone so if i could get it running id be a good test to see if it did XD the resolution may affect it thought of course and although my knowledge on porting to mobile is basically nothing if that were the case a fix would probably be either have a menu where you can change quality/resolution or if you wanted it to just change for specifically mobile (that you probably would want to do in this case) just make a duplicate of the game and just lower the resolution and upload that for apk. for controls wise and everything there should be no issues there since from what i know every major rpg maker or equivalent games have in built mobile support.
if you were wanting to give mobile support a try i know you can run mobile applications on this thing called bluestacks so you can test whilst still on pc.

I appreciate the information! I may look back to this if I do decide to work on more active mobile support (and if that is necessary). Good luck getting it working, if you decide to do so! :)

Played this for a bit and it do be looking neat

Thank you!

just try out the game and found myself wanting more ^^, i'm looking forward to see where you go from here and best of luck to you.

Thank you very much!

I appreciate the kind words! :)

(+2)

yoooo i downloaded the game 2 months ago and i wanted to check back, any major updates since then?

(1 edit) (+1)

Hi! The game is still actively being worked on. :)

The Early Release on Patreon is currently at 0.2.7, which is ahead of the current itch.io release. That version is available to download if you subscribe to the Early Release Supporter tier on Patreon.

About my development progress:

My currently-unreleased developer version contains a decent amount of new art (especially character expression art), as well as what I think is a decent amount of new in-game content. :3

I’m continuing to work hard on it, and I hope people will enjoy it when it’s released!

Do you have an estimate on when the next update will be released?

(+3)

Although it’s tempting to give people estimates or release dates, I try to refrain from doing so, since they are very difficult to make accurate (especially as a solo developer).

Instead, I try to handle these questions by telling people that I’m still actively working on the game, and giving some information on what I’ve been working on. :)

Thank you for your interest!

(+2)

genuinely wanted someone to make a game like this but from this particular perspective forever, thank you very much

(+1)

Thank you for the positivity! I'm doing my best! :)

(1 edit) (+4)

so, played what's there so far and loved it, maybe a little too much, making me feel like it was me in those situations exactly as I'd handle them. still though, loved it and hope you can finish it

Thank you for the positive comment!! Sending you good vibes :3

I’ll keep working hard on the game!

(+1)

hey just wanted to say that i really liked the game,i also really loved the fact that instead of following something predetermined  u leave it up to the player's choice about how the character fells, the design and the drawings also are really great, i loved the way u designed the characters (sorry if u cant understand the text, english is not my main language)

Thank you so much! I appreciate the positive words!

And thank you for playing :)

really love the UI designs

(+1)

Such an amazing game! So much emotion! Great story so far, it really shows just how fantastic this game will become as it grows and more updates are released. It'll get better and better with time and progress.  I love this game, the initial release has been amazing, and I cannot wait for new content!

Thank you so much Katie! The positivity is appreciated as usual! TwT

Love this so far! I hope it goes well, I'd subscribe to your patreon if I had the spare change, as it is I bought the game for $1 (it's worth at least $10 I'm just poor)

Thank you for both the dollar and the positive words! Glad you're liking the game!

(+1)

This was really great! I'm usually not a fan of rpg-maker games but honestly this one was really fun, between the characters being likable and actually somewhat realistic, MC being the biggest egg that Jen is slowly cracking. I'm also a passive sub and trans so ig i relate alot of MC.

I'm really looking forward to how this game turns out in the future, keep up the good work ♥ really hope when i obtain the monies i can donate for this amazing work!

(+2)

Thank you for the positive comment! I’m glad you like the game!
Transportal is still actively being worked on. I’m looking forward to the game’s playtime growing longer!

(-1)

I liked game and vibe in it. I would add some dev text break immersion atleast for me.

(1 edit)

Thank you for the positive words and feedback!

May I ask which dev text? I've generally tried to make the unavoidable developer/tutorial text shorter than the more in-depth information that's available through the Help Item, and the Library.

Thanks for playing!

(-2)

Moment when it explain feminization point.  yeah if i think more others dev text were not  immersion breaking.

(+1)

Hmmm, I might look back at it to see if there's a way I could tweak it, but that text is kind of necessary for the player to understand how to play the game, so I don't think it can be outright removed.

Thank you again for the feedback!

Thank you for game :P . keep in mind that was  my opinion and i am not sure are i am majority

And thank you for playing! :)

(+1)

Loved the game, can't wait for more.

Will the Itch.io version get updated in the future, or will only the Patreon get updates?

(2 edits) (+1)

Transportal is continuously releasing updates for BOTH Patrons AND on itch.io.

When a major release come out for Patrons, the previous release becomes freely downloadable on itch.io.

To put it simply:
Currently, the newest (Patreon-only) release is 0.2.7. When the next major release comes out for Patrons, itch.io will get 0.2.7 for free. :)

Thanks for playing, and thanks for the positive words!

love this game can't wait to see more and more

(1 edit)

Thank you for the positive words!
I hope people continue to play Transportal!

Very cool! thank you for the game!

Thank you for the positive words!

when is the next update? I love this game

(+1)

While I don’t have an exact release date, I hope it’s comforting to know that the game is being actively worked on! Hopefully “soon”!

Thank you for the positive words!

(+1)

For 0.1.7: Extraordinary! Thank you for your effort. I am in love with the artwork and sprites, the UI is clean, scenes and dialogues well written. Will stay tuned for future releases!

Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for playing!

(+1)

This was a really fun little experience so far, I cant wait to see where it goes from here. I really liked the innkeeper scene

Glad people are enjoying the game!

(+2)

i like the art... and the direction its going

Thank you!

hello I'm stuck on this quest

You need to go to the inn in the city you’re currently at. (Although you might have to go talk to the librarian first, if you haven’t done that yet).
Hope that helps!

Exactly, I did it but that doesn't validate the quest, I even went to talk to the girl at the restaurant, what should I do?

Have you already stayed a night at the inn? If not, you need to talk with the innkeeper behind the counter at the inn.

Thanks, I found

(+1)

This was nothing short of incredible. I have not played any trans games but now I am going to have to, the game made me feel really comfortable. This is a strange suggestion, but could I advise that at the end of the demo you have the player be open to explore the town? I didn't realize the demo was about to end and decided to save some stuff for later, so now I have to return to the start to do everything.

(+3)

Glad you like the game!

I’m assuming you played 0.1.7. Yeah, I can see how the end of content screen is a bit abrupt there.

In the current Newest Release, 0.2.7, the game does tell you to “finish anything else you want to do first” before proceeding towards a certain area (which leads to the end of content). I think I’ll try to continue to do it that way in the future.

Thank you for the feedback!

(+2)

good game so far, I can't wait to see how you take this game!

Thank you!

(+1)

This game is so far one of the best, if not THE best!

Artstyle is beautiful, Story is great so far, And the fact that the MC is a boy who becomes a girl in the in-game game is fantastic, can't wait to see what'll be the full game.

Thank you for the positivity!

(+1)

This game is a gem! The artwork is superb, the story-writing is pretty good, and I love the vibe its got going. The protagonist is also super duper cute! I'm loving it so far and can't wait for what you have coming! :D

Thank you so much! I appreciate all the positive, kind words!

I ran into no bugs but serveral times had situations where i ran into teleports i didn’t mean to when navigation to an absolute position using mouse, such as when trying to access the event on top of the waterfall after the first dog fight.

I don’t think there is much you can do about the auto routing. You could either put a tree/something impassable on the first teleport field or move the sand spot two fields to left so no dumb direct path can lead into it on accident.

Thank you very much for this game.

(+1)

Yeah, the auto routing isn't really on my end, but I honestly have thought it was a little too easy to run into the waterfall jump there. It's possible I could add something in the way. We'll see. :3

Thanks for playing! :)

That’s more then i want to ask for.

(+1)

I am loving this game so much so far.  It's a treat to be able to play the game with both a given name and a trans name and have the game treat that right.  Really enjoying everything about the game, looking forward to more of this neat project!

Happy you're liking the game! Thank you!!

I made an itch account just to comment. I absolutely loved this game! The writing was great, as was  the art. The scenes you have so far got me very worked up, and I am definitely looking forward to doing more with the inkeeper. I can't wait until the full game is released.

Glad you like the game! Thanks for the positivity!

OMG this is the best, and the worst, and both beautiful art, yet simplistic , and still pleasing.

I absolutely love the colour schemes and pattern you have chosen. the Characters of the   "Girls" are ones I truly can relate to, and definitely wish to see go so, so much further as they continue along their stories into the future.

The innkeeper scene made  feel  so wanting, and lusting, and disappointed.  I wanted to beg him to not stop. tried to remake and run the game from the beginning  a few days later to see if there was a way to further that along.     (note: i saved a couple of extra spots the second time through the walk to meeting  up with Keith)

I can't wait to see further updates, and play this game, really wish this was an open MMOrpg! (i always play a healer/mage so thank you so much for the prefect role too.)

Glad you’re enjoying it! Thank you for the kind words!

Hello I'm new to itch.io but i did find a bug in version 1.6 i don't know if it is already been accounted for, but when your fighting the fairy thing in the guilds quest line and a party member gets spirited away the picture of the spirted member doesn't change so say Damien got spirted away, now it looks like Seth is Damien.

Yep, it's a known bug :) It should be fixed in a bug fix release soonish.
Thanks for the bug report!

Fixed in the newest public release! :3

(+1)

Great game, but now I feel wierd

Okay, finally finished the current version. Here's my feedback:

1. The game uses more ram than it should, enough to heat the phone when most games don't but not enough to affect gameplay.

2. The writing is spectacular and I love the art style. Your colors are amazing and make the characters feel alive.

3. You should implement keybinds for non-combat skills or make them seperate from skills, and they should have no cost. Regardless, burying a core action beneath the combat skills list is not user friendly.

4. On the note of user friendliness, key items needing to be used manually will become annoying down the road.

5. The innkeeper scene made me so wet... My gosh what a dreamy dominant character for us subs <3

6. I broke the game with Joiplay's cheat menu. Nothing glitched out. Your checks are working perfectly,

7. I know art takes a while and in early development you're not fully illustrating everything, but you should at least not have black images. It's important testers see something so we don't think it's a bug.

8. You should limit investigation range to the visible area of the screen.

Hyped for more! :D

(2 edits)

1. My guess is that it's because Transportal runs at a higher resolution than most RPG maker games - (I actually put a bunch of effort into make that possible, because I wanted the clarity in the art to be cleaner/less pixelated). The game currently only has a 1920x1080 version.
I'll consider making a separate, lower res release for people where that could be an issue performance-wise, but I'll have to do testing to see what that would require.
Relevant: I know you ran the game on mobile using Joiplay, but what release did you use? Windows? Web? I have no experience with using Joiplay.

3. There actually IS already a keyboard keybind for opening straight to your Non-Battle Skills, as well as a controller binding. The keybind on keyboard is the "S" key, and the binding on controller is the START/Options button. :)
Although yeah, I think maybe they're too expensive to cast currently.

4. Key Items also have a keyboard keybind (and controller bindings) to open right to them. (On keyboard, that's the "A" key, and on controller, it's the △/Y button.
I want there to be a level of mystery and exploration when it comes to secrets, so I don't want to make the system entirely automatic.

Side note: You can also open your Quests menu with the "D" key, or SELECT/Share/Create on controller.
And all of this kind of info is available at any time from the Help Info key item, which you have from the first time you can open your inventory. :)

7. I'm guessing you're referring to the adult scene that has no art in the Early Release? Yeah, I think maybe I should directly tell the player that that scene has no art yet. The lack of art there is mentioned in the Patreon changelog, but you're right, that's probably not enough. I'll make a note of it.

8. Assuming you're referring to the Inspect Area skill:
I agree, it would feel better that way. I've considered looking further into possibly setting that up.

THANK YOU for all the positive feedback (and feedback in general)!
Hope you continue to enjoy the game! :3

1. The folder actually says Android, but I still had to use Joiplay to play the html file.

3. I know, but that's just extra steps. It'd be better to be able to access core actions outside of a menu.

4. That's fine, but again I want to know if you can let us assign keybinds to specific skills and items, like how Pokemon lets you set an item to be used with the Select key. I did read the instructions... But I want us to hotkey actual skills and items, not menus.

Okay, thank you for the information. That’s the release I’ve been labeling “Web” I believe then.

Hmmm, on controller I think that would be a bit difficult (not enough buttons really, unless I were to try to make it optional, and for buttons that already have other uses), but I could see how it could be useful on something like keyboard.

I don’t know how feasible it is to set up a hotkey button/key that the player could set to whatever item they want. I may look into it, but unless a plug-in for it already exists, it would likely be a large task.

I’ll think about it. Thanks for the input!

Hi, I am playing on mac and I cannot open the game. it says "the application cannot be opened"

Hello, thank you for your report! I attempted a fix recently, but I don't have access to a Mac for testing at all. Does this version of the game work properly, or even do anything different than what you just described? :)

Yes! Although I had to move the game into the "desktop" folder in order to run the game

Thank you so much for your response - I’ll try and update the Mac release soon with that fix.

Please let me know if you have any other issues running the game, as it’s still untested on a Mac. :)

Due to work and some issues, I've only just started, but two things:

The game fails the samename test. That is, it cannot recognize when the male and female names are the same.

Second, this:

Solid tiles and collission, etc, need an overhaul.

-

On an unrelated note, I recommend checking out You Throw Like A Girl by Vim. It's another great mtf game I think you'd like.

1. Do you mind defining "cannot recognize"? Are you referring to the writing being set up to have two separate names, or did you mean something separate?
It's possible I could maybe account for both names being the same - I'll have to think about it.

2. Are there other areas you noticed broken collision, or are you referring to just that one chest?
I'll add a check there to make sure the player is facing up. :)

Thank you for the bug report!

Yes, as in cross reference. That way you can make alternate dialogue for when it's detected,, or have it detected when it's entered to forbid the player from doing it. A surprising number of games pass the test.

In general, a lot of objects will react from multiple sides, and in the statue area there are tons of solid tiles where there shouldn't be which probably isn't intentional.

I get what you mean about the name stuff. I'll consider whether or not I want to commit to adding separate dialogue for it (there's currently quite a bit of dialogue about switching names back and forth, and a bit more stuff tentatively planned). I'll have to think about it.
Thanks for making me aware of that.

There are some objects that I INTEND for you to be able to interact from multiple sides (signs and chests for example) because I don't really see the point in preventing it. For example, I'm not sure a text box saying "you can't read the sign from this side" really improves gameplay.
However, in cases like the one you screenshotted, where you definitely shouldn't be able to open something from there, that definitely needs a bugfix.

The invis solid tiles there are actually a leftover from earlier in development. You're right, I should probably remove them. :)

This game is great. #FreeRonnie.

lmfao, thank you, and the hashtag gave me a laugh

Well worth it than :D

:D

(1 edit)

i must say it, i've falled in love with this game! :3 it have a wonderful art and a cool story that can be amazing :D

i can't wait to see the next update <3

(+1)

Thank you so much! :3

Those scenes had me babbling as much as her!

is there a discord for this?
Will 100% be supporting with my next paycheck. I have not been able to self insert into a game so damn hard :3
Thank you for the flustering >//<

(1 edit) (+1)

I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the game!! Thank you for any future support! And yeah, I like the flustering scenes too lol.

Yes, the Discord is set up so a single payment of the lowest tier on the game’s Patreon gives you permanent Discord access (aside from if you get banned ofc, lol). There are a few channels on there that require an active subscription though, like for Sneak Peaks of the game’s progress. :)
