the game is nice but damn in the parts where there is sex you can't see a thing and it happens almost always the game requires a lot of modifications because like this you can't play it
Are you referring to the fact that some of the sex scenes don’t have artwork yet? The player is told right before the scene starts if it doesn’t have art yet. There are definitely scenes with artwork already. The game is in active development. :)
hai i downloaded the game and tried launching it, but just got a black screen that said "Error Your browser does not support WebGL." do u know how i'd fix that?
Hello. It sounds like you’re trying to use the Web release to run it on your own in your browser, which, to my understanding, is not that simple to do. The Web release is basically just there for people with the technical knowledge to make the game run on other devices.
If you’re on Windows, I’d recommend you just use the Windows release. :)
sorry but that's the thing, i did download the Windows release and get that error, i even just redownloaded it and tried again, not rly sure what i'm doing wrong
The Windows release should run with an exe file, and shouldn’t be using your web browser at all. Are you launching the game with the exe file, and are you using a Windows machine?
The emotion conveyed in the writing is so good! The constant back and forth of "Do I or don't I?" The self-imposed guilt from expectations (perceived or real) of friends, family, or society. It all hit me way harder than I was expecting going into this.
I do try to have the Protagonist show emotion, and convey the idea that, although they’re concerned about if they “can” (or are “allowed” to) pursue femininity and sex in that way, they do truly want this and are actively taking steps to move towards it. It’s a complex idea to convey, but I do my best! :)
I have the quest to go up the mountain, but every time I try it says "...No, we'll climb this mountain another time." I've already done the well quest, am I missing something?
Hi! Several people have gotten confused at that point. You need to progress time for a day or two, until Jen has dialogue about heading to the mountain.
It's likely that particular day or two will flow better once there's something else to do at that point in time. :)
The story telling is really fun! Though up to the solo quest for Mayor, yet to be implemented. So excited for more content! The artwork is really good too!! love it x
Hello! I'm not sure what you mean. If you haven't reached a screen that announces the End of Content, then you're missing something. :) Thanks for the positivity, and thanks for playing!
I got the solo quest from the Guild, to goto see the mayor, but when I get to the entrance of the Mayors residence, my character goes to enter but then I am at the entrance with the words not implemented... but I will make sure I have done all other side quests etc. Still think its a great game!!!
As (despite being?) a cis male, reading the MC's journey of self-exploration and discovery feels incredible, kudos for so much attention on the characterization and narrative of the game. The slow burn is mandatory, and just like the MC I'm loving the teasing, especially Jen's! She's absolutely incredible, and I'm hoping you'll have the time and budget to reveal more about her!
Props for Damien and Seth too, particularly the former; the way his flaws are revealed and considered actually makes me even more fond of him, instead of antagonizing.
Wynne was a sudden reveal, and she's turning out great, IMO! Were it not for Corey being in a steampunk AR, I'd be suspicious of Wynne's true identity. Also, I'm fairly close to betting the mayor Mai is actually Dr. Boss, lol.
Carol, Amy, and Anne are also interesting characters, I'm curious how they'll continue to be part of the story.
As for the game itself, I really enjoyed the mechanics and puzzles on the underwater structure, fascinating the way those blue tiles altered the map, jumping from one collumn to the other (influence from Indiana Jones? lol), as well as the Mist and Dive spells. Not to mention that, since I've got the Shovel, I'm always on the lookout! I admit to being eager to see how innovative you'll be as the game grows.
Also, I must object on your estimation of playtime for the public release: 8 hours? Please, I'm already at 15 hours, and I haven't even tried the Reluctant path yet!
Last but not least, the tentacle spellbook? A masterpiece! Laughed and wow'd so much at all it produced! Will Jen keep teasing the MC about it? I sure hope so!
There's more that I could say, but I'll save it for another post in a future update. Very eager to know how will all the current paths and doors blocked be opened as well as what will be on the other side. I really hope you'll keep enjoying developing this game as much as we'll definitely enjoy playing it! Thank you for sharing this early release!
P.S.: If it's on your plans to eventually publish it on Steam, it will be an instabuy for me!
First of all, thank you so much for the glowing, positive comment! I think this is the longest positive feedback comment I've ever received on Itch!
I'm very glad you enjoy the characters, and that you're interested in the plot! I do work hard on trying to make the characters and dialogue enjoyable. That one theory about Dr. Boss and Mayor Mai is interesting :)
It's nice to hear positivity about the puzzle mechanics! They're something I also think is fun - as well as the secrets, like you mentioned!
Haha, the playtime estimate. It's just a vague estimate based on my own playtime, reading speed, and already knowing where everything is and what it all does. It's also something that will vary A LOT depending on what content the player does/does not engage with. I'm glad you're getting that much enjoyable playtime out of Transportal!!
A side note about the the tentacle book: It may be (optionally and briefly) mentioned at one point in the current Patreon release. :3
(Oh, and about your mention of Steam: I don't have the eventual "final release" plans for Transportal anywhere close to fully solidified yet, but Steam certainly seems like one of the possible options. :) We'll have to see where things end up!
Thank you again for the kind and positive words!! I'll continue to work hard on Transportal! ♥
The Discord itself is gated behind a single Patreon purchase in order to initially join, and then certain channels and voice chats are gated behind an active Patreon subscription. :)
I'm having an issue where I can't progress, it's the first day where the rest of the party is working at the their new jobs, and I can't interact with the Guild Receptionist, Blacksmith or Apothecary, any idea on how to fix it? Or do I just need to go back to a prior save, playing on 0.4.5
I think perhaps I am missing some context. By "the game autosaved", are you referring to the prompts such as "You should save first"? The player is meant to interact again after saving.
If you're referring to talking to NPC's from across counters, then yes, generally you have to interact with the counters themselves (either by clicking on them or using a key/button), instead of clicking on the NPC from across the counter. :)
No, my understanding is that it's not that simple for it to run in browser, sadly. I deploy and upload that version for those who may want it for more technical setups. I'm told that people have used the Web version (and Joiplay) to get it running on Android devices, for example.
i just found a bug the game froze after talking to the mayor so i restarted my game then when i went to start my save it wasnt there so now about 3 hours of gameplay is gone im really frustrated about this i hope you get it fixed bc its game breaking
Hello! You're saying *all your saves* mysteriously disappeared? That sounds... like it perhaps is not on my end.
That said... Which interaction with the mayor are you referring to, and where exactly did it freeze? What operating system are you on? And what version of Transportal are you playing on? 0.4.5 or 0.5.0?
im playing on 0.4.5 i use a pc with windows, it was the first interaction with the mayor after doing the first solo quest, the game froze and i had to reset my game after opening the game the only option i had was to start a new run i cant click continue
Interesting, thank you for the information. 0.4.5 is the current free version now, but it's been the Patreon-only release for a while and I have not heard of this bug during that time. It's possible that the bug is quite rare, or specific to your machine, or caused by a corrupt download.
1. You had previously saved the game before that point, and then the saves were ALL suddenly gone, correct?
2. Do you remember the specific spot that the game froze? Like a specific line of dialogue, or location of the characters?
3. Did the game's window actually become unresponsive, or did you just become unable to move?
Also, for future reference: If you need to fast forward through scenes, there is a Fast Text Skipping setting in the Options menu which allows you to quickly speed through cutscenes you've already seen using the PageDown key. :)
Hello! You have to step on both of the light blue tiles on the ground, then climb the ladder and hop across the platforms. After that, you should find a way back to the underwater floor. Retrieve the Blue Medallion from downstairs, and bring it to the large magic circle.

It's possible that there might be TEMPORARY transformations for the blonde, "fantasy" version of the protagonist. By "temporary", I mean "lasting only for a scene, then returning to their previous state".
Otherwise, the current plan is for the slow, gradual progression to be kept for the brown-haired, "IRL" version of the protagonist. But we'll have to see! Thanks for your interest! ♥
This is by far my favorite game on the platform! I must admit that for a while I even wanted to write a story inspired by your game! Thank you very much for your work!
Hi! The Public Releases and Patreon-Only Releases come out simultaneously whenever a release happens - with the Patreon version being a newer version than the Public version.
The content in the current Patreon-Only version (0.4.5) will become Public when the next major release comes out on Patreon.
While it can be tempting to give time estimates for releases, I find that it’s difficult to make them accurate (especially for a solo project!)
Instead, I tend to let people know the game is actively being worked on.
Huh, I couldn't find anything pinned in the patreon that says the version, thanks for the answer tho. (But rn I just realised that I just needed to join for free to see a pinned post)
im literally obsessed about this game (i may be biased due to being a tfem but hush). it has its flaws of course due to it being still in development, but they do NOT outweigh what is there so far for the story and overall content. thank you for making this absolute gem of a game.
keep up with ur absolute BANGER work so far, i highly look forward to future updates <33
This game is very good and cute, but I have a few suggestions/questions if you'll hear me out :3
I think the first scene with the Innkeeper should be mostly from the MC's perspective, I want to see what she sees. I like men, I specifically turned that option on, I wanna see the man not the girl (she's not my type) I think that Damien, Corey, Librarian Anne, and Jen should be romanceable (( Possibly all at once(/j)) I don't know if any romance options are intended in future, but I think those would all be super cute options.) Real world fem MC should keep the brown hair to differentiate the two of them, also I think it looks cuter (I assume this is already intended, but figured I'd suggest incase it's not :3) Aand am I missing out on any fem points by moving past second (3rd?) innkeeper scene? It says todo, so I get that its not finished, but I don't wanna miss any more fem points, I'm already regretting not picking the +5 option at the beginning.
Thank you in advance, and sorry if you've answered any of these already :3
Hi! Thank you for the positive words and feedback!
About the scenes' perspective angles: It's quite possible there will be future scenes with more "man" visible than is in that scene. That said, I think whether or not people like the first innkeeper scene's perspective angle or not is a matter of taste. :)
About "romance options": I'm intentionally trying to write intimate paths with characters to NOT be mutually exclusive - i.e, if the protagonist is intimate with Jen, that should not prevent the player from being intimate with Damien, or whoever else. So, "intimacy, sex, and closeness" are planned for a decent amount of the characters, but "exclusivity between the protagonist and another character" is basically not planned.
About hair color: The current plan is to keep the protagonist's "IRL" hair as brown. :)
About your other innkeeper question: The innkeeper scenes are currently not missable, unless the player fully denies the innkeeper at the very beginning. The innkeeper scenes are set up so that they can be delayed until another night... So it should just delay receiving those points until the scene is accessed later.
I am personally a sucker for a good trans game (nsfw or not) as a transgirl and lesbian i cant not find kther transgirls cute! Also I love the dinamic between Jennifer and the mc! And its so cute with the sumbission points!!!
As a trans woman myself, this game felt amazing. The whole experience of playing this game made me feel seen. Everything in terms of sexual scenes felt great and for once not fetishizing. The option to actually admit to like the changes is also appreciated. The characters are amazing and have great chemistry, the gameplay is surprisingly very good. The puzzles are creative and the use of out of battle skills gives you a lot of options. Overall, it's one of the best RPG maker projects I played on this site.
realy loved the game would love seprate effects that you choose that change your clothing making you girly'er and and slutty'er affecting spells and power.
i have supported on patron finally it 5$ per month. i don't know how long it will last though..... we will see. my wallet is currently in a temporary limbo of life and death
this is the first game I've played in the last 2 years that warranted me to make an account!!! i love it, the art is my favorite part. i hope you continue making this game and i wish you luck in any future endeavors. your game made me make an itch account thank you for this treasure.
cool beans! I'm glad the games getting active development, it really deserves the work that's put in to it. ill keep looking forward for the updates and when I'm able ill put in the support you deserve currently my work had a flood so I'm not working but when i can ill see about helping with a little support.

I really liked the game, will keep an eye on it. I kinda identify with the mc, so it felt really personal in lots of moments. Felt cozy and warm, the kind of writing that makes you feel understood

yeah, this one, right?
Very interesting.
I have not run into this issue at all, and I've gotten others to test it as well.
However, a cursory search online seems to suggest that you should try updating your graphics card driver.
Please let me know if you get it working! Thanks! :)

The barracks building is not yet implemented, but meeting the mayor IS in both the public release and the Patreon-only release.

You got me, I actually figured it out earlier today.... lol
Yeah thanks. sigh
Glad you figured it out! :)
TLDR; love the game!

Hi! Would you please describe what happens when you try to interact with the Guild Receptionist?
The game autosaved but nothing happened, but then I tried loading the auto save and then it worked somehow
I think perhaps I am missing some context.
By "the game autosaved", are you referring to the prompts such as "You should save first"?
The player is meant to interact again after saving.
you have to press space on your keyboard, I guess. That worked for me
If you're referring to talking to NPC's from across counters, then yes, generally you have to interact with the counters themselves (either by clicking on them or using a key/button), instead of clicking on the NPC from across the counter. :)
does web version mean I can download it and play it on my browser? asking because all it did was give me lots of files with no game.

how do i get the dive skill? i cant seem to find the cave the quest is hinting at
If you're in a save where Wynne told you about it, it's back at the intro forest area next to one of the small ponds. There's a door visible. :)
If you haven't talked to Wynne yet, then you can go in from above (in the same area) by using Inspect Area then investigating the spot on the ground.
are the uncolored scenes going to be colored in the future or is this a style choice?
Color is being very gradually added to scenes. :)
Thanks for playing!
i just found a bug the game froze after talking to the mayor so i restarted my game then when i went to start my save it wasnt there so now about 3 hours of gameplay is gone im really frustrated about this i hope you get it fixed bc its game breaking

If you need to fast forward through scenes, there is a Fast Text Skipping setting in the Options menu which allows you to quickly speed through cutscenes you've already seen using the PageDown key. :)
Stuck at underwater city. How do I use the big portal? Hoping it gets me to the areas that I haven't been able to reach.
Hello!
You have to step on both of the light blue tiles on the ground, then climb the ladder and hop across the platforms. After that, you should find a way back to the underwater floor.
Retrieve the Blue Medallion from downstairs, and bring it to the large magic circle.
Thanks for playing! :)
What do you mean by 'hop'? I've climbed the ladder, but see no way to do anything but walk.
Never mind, it hops automatically across the columns. Thanks!
No problem :)
Wow, that was quick, didn't expect it to end so soon. TFTG
A new release came out a few minutes ago, and the game is still being worked on!
Wish I could be approved so my posts can be seen, need help!
Not gonna lie, felt like crying when I saw the "end of content" screen. I want more, I love it so much!
Thank you so much! ♥
The game is still being actively worked on. :)
I tried to install the game on my phone but i couldn't, someone to help me?
Hello!
The non-Windows versions of the game are untested, but I've been told that people have gotten the game running on Android devices by using Transportal's "Web" release, and Joiplay.

Thank you for your interest! :)
[Xiro]
Interacting with things in the lobby causes the other characters to say things, despite them having already moved on to the next room.[Xiro]
Nevermind, I think we were misremembering.
Hi! You can check what party members are present at any time on the regular menu screen.
If you do find any cases where party members say things while they shouldn't be there, please let me know! It's possible that could be a bug to fix :)
Thanks for playing!
Are there any other tf content being added for the female gane character or just the male , something like breast expansion

This game is lovely, pathetic or not a lot of moments in this game make me feel really seen.
Thank you! I'm glad you feel seen, and I hope you're doing as well as possible! ♥
Thank you for making the game, keep it up! ♥
This is by far my favorite game on the platform! I must admit that for a while I even wanted to write a story inspired by your game! Thank you very much for your work!
Thank you very much for the kind words!
I hope you're doing well, and thanks for playing! :)
when do you think that the patreon version will be free
Thanks for your interest! :)
What patreon version is at the moment?
It’s always pinned at the top of the Patreon. :)
Version 0.4.5 is the current Patreon-only release, and 0.3.4 is the current public release.
Thanks for your interest!
Huh, I couldn't find anything pinned in the patreon that says the version, thanks for the answer tho. (But rn I just realised that I just needed to join for free to see a pinned post)
No problem, glad you figured it out!

I think the first scene with the Innkeeper should be mostly from the MC's perspective, I want to see what she sees. I like men, I specifically turned that option on, I wanna see the man not the girl (she's not my type)

Thank you in advance, and sorry if you've answered any of these already :3
Hi! Thank you for the positive words and feedback!
About the scenes' perspective angles:
It's quite possible there will be future scenes with more "man" visible than is in that scene.
That said, I think whether or not people like the first innkeeper scene's perspective angle or not is a matter of taste. :)
About "romance options":
I'm intentionally trying to write intimate paths with characters to NOT be mutually exclusive - i.e, if the protagonist is intimate with Jen, that should not prevent the player from being intimate with Damien, or whoever else.
So, "intimacy, sex, and closeness" are planned for a decent amount of the characters, but "exclusivity between the protagonist and another character" is basically not planned.
About hair color:
The current plan is to keep the protagonist's "IRL" hair as brown. :)
About your other innkeeper question:
The innkeeper scenes are currently not missable, unless the player fully denies the innkeeper at the very beginning.
The innkeeper scenes are set up so that they can be delayed until another night...
So it should just delay receiving those points until the scene is accessed later.
Thanks for playing!
As a fellow Transgirlie i relate so much and am jealous of the main character!!
The game does have an element of wish fulfillment, huh?? Thanks for playing! :)

I'm wishing you safety and comfort in the future. (And thanks for playing!)
Hello Lily, I was stuck on the witch inspection request.I break the door and didn't see the witch, how to finish that request, thank you
Use Inspect Area in her house, then interact with the fireplace. :)
Thanks for playing!
Inspect area? Where? That Chair? Thank you
I mean use the Non-Battle Skill “Inspect Area” while inside the witch’s house, then interact with the fireplace.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words!
I'm glad you liked the game so far. Thanks for playing!

are there any plans for the game to be mobile accessible? just curious because I've been seeing a lot of LGBT games become mobile accessible recently.
Hi!
Although the non-Windows versions are untested, I've been told that people have gotten the game running on Android devices by using Transportal's "Web" release, and Joiplay.
That's about all the help I'm able to give on the subject, though.
Thanks for your interest! :)
I really liked the game, will keep an eye on it. I kinda identify with the mc, so it felt really personal in lots of moments. Felt cozy and warm, the kind of writing that makes you feel understood
I appreciate the positive words! I’m wishing you well!
